Day Four. One Side Effect.
Legs and arms in numbers, 102.0 kg on waking, 120/86 on the cuff, a puffy face under watch, and finer syringes on the way from TRT Colombia.
Thursday 10 September. Day 4 of the 13-week protocol and of the MONSTER 2.0 block; both started on Monday 7 September. Monday is in Day One. Logged. That post promised Tuesday's legs their own entry; here are Tuesday and Wednesday together, then this morning's numbers.
Day 2 — quads, glutes, calves · Tuesday 8 September
20 sets, 237 reps, 13,305 kg of loaded work. The split squat is bodyweight and counts reps only, both legs. The leg press alone is 6,000 kg of the total, which is the number to keep an eye on: one machine carrying almost half a session flatters the tonnage. Walked there and back.
Day 3 — shoulders, arms, abs · Wednesday 9 September
31 sets, 363 reps, 14,100 kg. Per-hand and per-side loads count both sides; the rollout counts reps only. Three sessions into the block: 77 sets, 895 reps, 42,673 kg. Every line on the board is still a first mark, not a progression — that comparison starts next week.
This morning
102.0 kg on waking. Up 0.6 kg from the 101.4 kg low of 2 September and inside the band the scale has held for three weeks. Three loaded days in a row pull water into muscle, so the morning after them is not the reading to trend on.
Blood pressure is now measured every morning: Omron cuff, before food, before any injection. Today 120/86 mmHg, pulse 76 — the frame the video opens on. On the US table that is Stage 1: the systolic is one point past normal, but the diastolic is in the 80–89 band and the higher category wins. On the European table the diastolic falls in the 85–89 high-normal band. Fine for now, and a home reading sits on a stricter line than an office one. One reading says little; the series is the reason it gets measured daily.
Lunch: three whole red tilapia on a tray with carrots, celery, onion and garlic, into the oven — the featured photo. Nutrition in line.
Puffy face
Mild redness and puffiness across the cheeks, near the eyes. I put it on the growth-hormone axis: recombinant human growth hormone plus the secretagogues CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin. Fluid retention with mild facial and periorbital puffiness is a recognised effect of raising GH and IGF-1 — GH makes the kidney hold sodium and water — generally dose-related and usually transient in the first weeks. The secretagogues get there by another route, raising the body's own GH pulses, so they belong in the same column.
Response: aggressive hydration and daily monitoring — weight, blood pressure, and the face in the morning mirror. Nothing else unusual so far. If it moved on to joint pain, tingling in the hands or swelling that does not clear, the answer is to reduce, not to push through.
Syringes
The syringes that came with the order are long and thick, and a daily injection with the wrong needle is a daily annoyance. TRT Colombia is sending ultra-fine short syringes to replace them, plus small-gradation syringes for the HGH so tiny volumes can be measured properly.
Where things stand
Three sessions logged, one side effect under watch. Day 4 is back thickness, traps and chest.
