Amor y Amistad, Table for Three

Day 3 in the gym, a first in the kitchen, and an afternoon with nowhere better to be.

Amor y Amistad, Table for Three — Biohacking

Today is Día del Amor y Amistad in Colombia. I’m spending it with Miranda and Maxi. The best company I could ask for.

There was still a workout to do. September 19, MONSTER 2.0 Day 3: shoulders, arms and abs. Thirty-one working sets, including seated dumbbell presses at 16 kg per hand, cable laterals, machine presses, rear delts, triceps and curls. Finished with three sets of ten reverse incline abs. Walked to the gym and back.

Day 3, then our first pot of beans together.

Then we cooked beans together for the first time.

The taste test.

Plenty of this blog is about what I train, what I eat and what I track. Today, the detail I want to keep is that Miranda and Maxi were making food with me. A healthy meal, and a first for the three of us.

I like this part of taking over the kitchen. The kids get to be involved in making the food we eat. We learn something together, and the meal becomes part of our time together too.

My own protocol stayed on schedule. The family part is good food, movement and trying things together. The habits fit into the celebration.

Now some well-earned downtime. I’m going to teach them billiards. Tomorrow we’re going to the swimming pool together. More things to try, more time with each other.

This is what I want all the training and effort to support: being here, enjoying them, having the energy to join in.

The life I wanted is already our ordinary Saturday.
